Company Introduction

Our client is a regionally dominant retail jewellery business that has progressively expanded its customer reach through sustained investment in online platforms and the development of bricks-and-mortar store locations. Excitingly, their buying expertise across both watch and jewellery categories is recognised as best-in-class, and as a result, a third-party retailer has invited them to establish and operate a brand-new concession.

This new sales outpost is expected to provide our client with the opportunity to broaden their in-city watch and jewellery offering, while further reinforcing and inspiring retail customers with the trusted local jeweller name that can deliver every jewellery and timepiece purchasing solution.

Job Role

Unlike other remits, this position will cover two very different retail environments. The purpose of this is to maximise your product and stock understanding, enabling you to confidently respond to any future purchasing enquiry a customer may present.

At its core, the role is focused on selling, merchandising and ensuring that, regardless of which retail space you are working within, you consistently optimise the company’s sales turnover.

In-store standards are fundamental to how this client represents famous and aspirational brands. As such, it is expected that you will be comfortable ensuring planned displays remain as directed, consistently pristine and attractive to every passer-by.

Equally important to this role is the ability to delight customers. This will be demonstrated through excellent product and stock knowledge across the group, alongside a proactive and enthusiastic approach on the sales floor to delivering the ideal gifting or self-purchase solution.

Operationally, there are differences between the retail spaces you will occupy within the city. You will therefore need to be agile, confident and respectful in your approach, adapting your working style to achieve the best possible results in each location.

Experience Required

Previous experience within jewellery and/or watches would be advantageous and provide a strong foundation for future learning.

However, experience representing premium brands within a similarly fashion-led retail environment is also highly transferable, provided you demonstrate commitment and enthusiasm for learning within this specialist marketplace.

You must be comfortable communicating with a wide range of customers and possess a strong inner drive to convert customer interest into successful sales.

Individually, you will be a meticulous operator with a keen eye for detail. You take pride in presenting consumer goods professionally and enjoy being well-informed, confidently explaining the features, advantages and benefits of each product.
