Have a Gander...

 Things are not always as they seem.

 Many would have you believe that, in today’s bright and exciting world, everybody is capable of doing everything on their own.

 Does this include the ability to recruit or be recruited? I am not so sure… and neither should my readers be.

 Even as a recruiter of many years’ standing, I am still constantly refining my skills out in the field: encouraging, motivating, and inspiring others to achieve the best possible outcomes; carefully studying the role specifications we are pleased to receive, matching each set of criteria with the most accomplished and capable candidates, and, where appropriate, finalizing job offers to those we successfully place. 

 Short cuts and quick fixes may sit well with some who profess to be able to “do it all”, but it is not a risk I personally would dream of recommending.

 In my recruitment world, the currency being traded is “careers and livelihoods”, and I am entrusted with the responsibility of protecting and growing the value of my clients’ businesses. Should either party contemplate going it alone, without the support of an expert Recruitment Consultancy? I don’t think so.

 So the next time opportunity knocks, be that a vacancy arising within your business, or the need for a career confidant to steer you towards a brighter future, please have a gander in our direction.
