EUROPEAN SALES MANAGER
CLIENT: A leading supplier of fine watch straps and watch bracelets
TERRITORY: Home-based (WFH) – Airport Accessible
SALARY: Open to discussion – Salaried or Freelance
POSITION: Permanent / Flexible
As a British heritage brand, our client has been perfecting luxury leather watch straps and watch bracelets since 1966.
Their expertise spans every core and emerging market category, including leather, sports, vegan and animal-free watch strap collections.
Building on their continued success in the UK, the senior management team believes significant potential exists within overseas markets that have yet to be fully explored.
The role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Sales Management professional who thrives on introducing new products, concepts and market opportunities internationally.
This is very much a pioneering, business-development-focused role centred on identifying prospective distributor partners and, once established, growing mutually beneficial revenue streams.
It is anticipated that the most suitable watch and jewellery distributors will already have their own in-house sales teams covering their designated countries or sales regions.
Working at arm’s length, the successful candidate must therefore be capable of motivating and inspiring distributor sales personnel to maximise sales performance within each territory, utilising modern sales and marketing best practices.
Working closely with the company owners, you will add momentum to this initiative by developing and implementing a sustainable growth strategy that delivers long-term international expansion and contributes commercially at the earliest opportunity.
Requirements:
Applicants will ideally have a proven track record of managing and growing sales revenues through internationally based distributor networks.
Fluency in additional languages would be advantageous. Markets already under consideration include Germany, Scandinavia and the Benelux countries (Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg).
The successful candidate will most likely have achieved career success within the watch, fine jewellery or luxury accessories sectors.
Experience of managing key or national accounts with major retail jewellers would be highly beneficial, as would a strong understanding of selling through distributor networks across Europe and beyond.
Throughout your career, you will have managed, either directly or indirectly, sales teams capable of achieving agreed objectives and targets while maintaining the highest standards of brand presentation.
This is a rare opportunity to make your mark in a market space that is currently open and ready for development. If you are motivated by building brands, opening new markets and creating lasting commercial success, this could be the ideal next step in your career.
