Excitingly this established service centre has recently relocated within the heart of London’s Jewellery District Hatton Garden. In past times their technical prowess was very much the preserve of retail jewellers supporting their efforts to client aftersales serve. Of late however they have seized the opportunity to additionally welcome consumer direct service enquiries which has been undoubtedly a successful venture.

This business is a member of both the British Horological Institute and the British Watch and Clockmaker’s Guild and are in the process of collecting further watch brand service accreditations.

Job Role:
Head Office based this role requires a thorough understanding of watchmaking terminology and experience in assessing incoming work and identifying the exact servicing requirement that each customer requires.

It would be expected through your familiarity with having daily worked within the ‘repair world’ that your powers of observation upon goods being received are classed as being exceptional. Based on your clear understanding from instructing clients you can fact find with clarity – test and assess likelihood of certain faults whilst observing other possible areas of concern.

Once your diagnostics are complete you are accomplished in the ability to relay all to clientele including likely costs seeking their sign off to bench time proceed.

 
Requirements:

  • As a specialist company role this position does require a sound understanding of all that surrounds the complication and challenge of receiving faulty watch products sent for repair/restoration.

  • It is likely that you are presently in an After sales/Service role within a retail jeweller/watch brand workshop/reception setting and eager for a more influential next placement.

  • It goes without saying that you are an agile communicator able to simply appraise all be they external or internal and possess an overarching administrational efficiency able to manage each repair journey.

  • Good I.T. skills are essential as would be the care you would naturally take to minimise watchmaker bench intervention.

  • As a close team environment this person should be an initiative taker, able to show dexterity in dealing with multiple matters simultaneously with customer satisfaction being ever at the heart of everything your department joyfully undertakes.
