Attractive package for either newly qualified or more seasoned Jewellery Designer professional, comprising:

Salary + store performance bonuses + pension + training support

Located within the Cathedral City of Saint Albans, our client offers a very different Jewellery and Watch retail platform for their customers to relish. Family-owned and operated, with a pedigree spanning over four decades, they offer for sale Antique and Vintage Jewellery, a wide range of Engagement and Bridal Jewellery, and pre-owned Luxury Watches, as well as an all-important Bespoke Jewellery Design service. Now wishing to increase their investment in the latter, plans are afoot to redevelop an area within the store, to create the ultimate Jewellery Designer client consultation space, where this new appointee will add even more customer delight.

To be considered for this opening, you must have benefited from formal Jewellery Designer training and be fluent in using Matrix Jewellery Design software.

The intention is that, working alongside a team of supportive retail assistants selling ready-to-wear precious items, you will become the sole on-site Jewellery Design expert, able to inspire and breathe life into the jewellery-wearing dreams of your clientele.

From initial interpretation of your client’s original design thoughts, through bringing the design to fruition as an item of everyday wearing reality, you will be the ultimate guide of their purchase from concept to collection of the final finished product.

Your design prowess would be called upon most frequently in the realm of Engagement and Wedding Rings, with regular requests for Jewellery pieces to be re-modelled to bring them back to a current, wearable state.

Complementing your solid understanding of every associated manufacturing process, you have a good working knowledge of gemstones and a facility for clearly and accurately briefing third party retained suppliers of choice.

The mission of all in-store personnel is to ease the customer purchasing journey as far as possible. Bespoke jewellery design will be no exception, so for you too, ongoing customer liaison will always be of the utmost importance.

The store environment is very current and contemporary, and whilst rightly proud of their professionalism, the team collectively makes a considerable effort to be approachable and consultative towards all visiting clientele.

Our client recognises that for such an important appointee, remaining at the cutting edge of future design trends is essential, and will therefore support and encourage regular professional training to enhance your skills, as well as your attendance at trade connected events.

Whether you are newly qualified and keen to make your mark within the speciality of Jewellery Design, or closer to a more worldly-wise “finished article”, your vision and capability will be appropriately treasured here at Kings Hill. Please forward your CV to the team at JML without delay.
