Our client is recognised as an innovator and visionary within its watch servicing speciality, and is about to venture outside London for the first time. Having secured a prime trading location in the heart of Manchester City Centre, this new Customer Service and Sales space is set to open next month.
Offering on-site Watch Servicing and After Sales support, the centre will also showcase collections of Luxury Watch merchandise that is refurbished, ready-to-wear, and available for purchase.
Two team colleagues have already been appointed, and there exists a third opening for a dynamic Store Assistant who could also become enamoured of all things horological.
Applications are sought from candidates who possess retail store “front of house” experience; previous watch experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be given.
Central to your application is a hunger to ratchet up your in-store contribution, by specialising in a single luxury product area within a fast-developing new trade entity.
You are not fazed by the technical aspects of any product, or by its ticket price. You will soon learn to understand and appreciate the appeal of a wide range of prestigious watch brands, and be able to wax lyrical about the virtue, value and condition of every item you encounter.
When handling merchandise in-store, whether owned by a customer or by the company, you show equal care and respect at all times.
As a salesperson, your default approach is characterised by ‘an exuberance of helpfulness’, and your fine judgement of visiting clientele enables you either to limit or expand your response dialogue appropriately, in accordance with their desire for insight.
The setting in which you will be operating is the subject of high performance expectations, so not only will you be showcasing your in-store standards daily to your colleagues and customers, but there may also be other influential stakeholders quietly observing your talents!
Articulate and well spoken, you will be comfortable in less formal workplace attire, happy to wear this new corporate coat that will manifest your specialist trade understanding.
Support will be on-hand from a vastly experienced Store Manager, and once settled into the team you will benefit from abundant technical training to help prepare you for the more advanced elements of your role.
To begin with, you will be involved with welcoming people to the store, directing visitors to the partners best able to serve them, and then after your corporate induction you will expand your horizons, introducing selected stock merchandise that is ready and waiting to be sold to store visitors.
As with all sales and servicing arenas, there are regular administrative tasks to be performed. You will be mindful of the need for accuracy at all times, and happy to communicate to the central service hub all the various trading indices that will be requested.
