The business operates its own in-house workshops, offering clientele an all-encompassing retail experience, from shopping in-store and online, to watch and jewellery repairs, valuations, and bespoke commissions.
An opportunity has arisen to appoint a Sales Consultant with experience in sales of luxury goods.
Such is the specialist nature of this role that only candidates already well-qualified in the world of watch and jewellery retail sales - and ideally with a knowledge of Fine Jewellery - should apply.
It is expected that applicants will possess at least their JET 1 level or equivalent (or higher) qualification, and further industry training is always encouraged by our client. In terms of sales experience, a minimum of two years within the trade is expected, and the focus of your current remit should be on generating store revenue.
As an individual, you are pro-active and self-energised, ever searching out new opportunities for your store to trade and capitalise upon. You are accustomed to striving to achieve all Key Performance Indicators set, whether related to Sales, Client Service or Care of Stock.
Your communication style is pacey and purposeful, and you are keen to achieve the best possible sales outcome to match your customers’ specific purchasing ideals.
For you, standards of merchandising cannot be compromised; your respect for the stock and the products permits no short measure, and brand VM guidelines are observed to the ultimate degree.
You are computer literate and proficient in the use of all CRM tools at your disposal.
You take to heart your responsibility to deliver feedback to your line managers in respect of the customer and product experiences you have encountered.
As with any area of the High Street today, even within the upper echelons of your chosen speciality, the landscape is subject to change. Accordingly, you will demonstrate the adaptability and flexibility to meet and win every challenge that presents itself.
You are the eager first point of welcome for the store, whether in person, online or by telephone, and when the opportunity arises you revel in the honour of representing the store at key events, including in-house VIP customer evenings, trade-related exhibitions, or industry networking sessions.
Developing relationships with local businesses, ensuring that existing customers enjoy the very best service, while also seeking out potential new customers, is uppermost in your mind.
Ideas to further promote store outreach via social media, as well as other smart, innovative marketing initiatives, are always well-received. In many cases such initiatives may involve cooperation with other businesses who also market luxury goods to their discerning clientele.
