Already a presence within London’s famous Jewellery district, our client offers a highly bespoke jewellery service, enabling visiting customers to select their preferred gem stones and settings.


Our client now wishes to expand their customer service team by appointing several talented sales consultants /trainee gemmologists.


Your background has not necessarily been in the jewellery sales arena; what is essential however is your genuine passion for delivering the very best customer experience. This business acknowledges that best practice can also be learned from elsewhere in retailing - be it technology or high-end fashion – and carefully grafted into their own product speciality.


You greatly enjoy approaching and meeting customers, advising them about their purchase, checking ring sizes, liaising with the customer during manufacture and collection, right up to the handover of the final product.


During every working day you will find countless opportunities to be a true team player, as is the constant expectation. You will regularly source and return stones, communicating internally with production staff and suppliers regarding timescales. Great care is taken to record sales and costings; you will receive full training to support the professionalism of this business’s unique in-house sales process.


You need to be operationally astute, ever mindful of security, and scrupulous in your adherence to store protocols. Window display processes, whether you are engaged in the daily set up or removal of the selected merchandise, need to be meticulous, to ensure every precious piece is always accounted for. As in every retail environment, there are other general tasks to be completed, including stock auditing, good housekeeping, and everyday administration; you will happily play your part in ensuring that the business sparkles and performs at its very best.


Ever responsive, you are always alert to incoming sales inquiries, whether by phone or email. You are expected to follow through regularly and systematically with customers who have not yet completed their purchase, whether providing reassurance or gaining an ever deeper understanding of their purchasing need. Other calls could be heralding the arrival of a highly anticipated order, securing payment, or requesting a meaningful testimonial from a delighted customer.
